This Thursday at both 7:30pm and at 9:00pm the festival starts off with stand-up comics from Charlotte, Louisville, Burlington, Raleigh, Charleston, and of course right here in the Greenville. Friday and Saturday has so many wonderful stand-up, sketch, and improv shows we can’t possibly tease them all here. However, we’ll highlight a few of our festival picks (some of which are also teaching workshops this weekend).
Friday night, sandwiched in between an amazing stand-up show at 7:30pm and an equally awesome sketch comedy show at 10:30pm, we have a unique blend of stand-up comedy and improv comedy at 9:00pm. Come see stand-up comedy from Denver to DC to Queens; then stay for the second half as we feature improvisers from the Magnet Theatre in NYC and Second City Hollywood playing with Greenville’s best improvisers.
Saturday night, following a great line-up in our 6:00pm stand-up comedy show, we got our sketch comedy headliners and New York Times Critics Pick, Sisters Three at 7:30pm. Directed by Peter McNerney and starring Elana Fishbein and Elena Skopetos, Sisters Three is a fast paced, multi-character comedy about a family’s reluctant reunion. Immediately after that, there is a combination improv and sketch comedy show at 9:00pm and the night ends with our Mid-festival finale at 10:30pm.
And that’s just the first few days…
