7th Annual New South Comedy Festival Submissions are Open!

Applications are open for performing in the 7th annual New South Comedy Festival. This year because of COVID-19, all shows will be run online from will be November 12-15th, 2020! We are accepting acts that can go live from their stage or live via Zoom. We are also accepting more professional video submissions for acts that would like to submit pre-recorded content. The submission fee is half of our normal amount at just $15 (early bird is only $10) and, if accepted, there is no performer fee to see other shows online.

For 6 years we have brought hundreds of comedy acts (North Coast, Magnet Tourco, Orange Tuxedo, Co-Workers, Drum Machine, UCB, Julian McCullough, Magic Negro, Pop Roulette, Coworkers, Sister’s Three, Thunderstood) and workshops from the countries best instructors (Second City, iO, UCB, Magnet Theatre, The Pack, Westside Comedy Theater, Theatre 99, Dad’s Garage, PIT Chapel Hill, Batsu Laughter Party, HUGE Theater) to the beautiful downtown Greenville, SC. And we’re doing it again, but this time digitally.

The festival is accepting submissions from Improv, Stand-up, Sketch, and Musical Comedy acts. We’ll be accepting individual improviser submissions for a festival ensemble as well. Deadline for applications is September 30th (early bird discount ends August 31st). All acts will be notified of acceptance by mid-October. All accepted acts will receive free access to the all festival shows and discounts on virtual workshops from veteran performers.
